Hi,
Category selector loads products from other subcategory with same name.
We have in example: category x > Ladies but also category y > Ladies
If we use selector on category y > Ladies it loads products from category x > ladies because urlkey is same.

In example:
www.carldenig.nl/wintersport/snowboards.html

This is category Snowbaords
If you choose 'accessoires' it loads nothing.

In admin there are some products published in this category:

If we navigate through menu the products are loaded:
